About Orda Cave

Orda Cave is the longest underwater labyrinth of corridors and chambers known in Russia. And what makes it really special is the fact that it is a gypsum cave which means the interior does not resemble typical caves with the presence of stalactites and stalagmites. In the Orda Cave rock formations are arranged in the form of gypsum blocks, creating an unparalleled and unique underwater landscape. The miracle of the Ural, as the cave is also known, is located in Russia, right on the border between Europe and Asia, on the western side of the Ural mountains.

DIVE CENTER

Accommodation

Dive center is located above the cave. There are several wooden cottages. Each cottage consists of 2 separate double bedrooms, shower and toilet. Linen and towels are provided. The rooms are heated and they are warm even in icy cold. The facility is prepared to accommodate 20 people at the same time. Furthermore, there is a dive center building with service space and living room and kitchen (lecture room with WiFi).

Diving

ORDA CAVE

Conditions in the cave are quite demanding, therefore diving is recommended only to experienced divers. The water temperature is 4 degrees Celsius in the summer and 7-8 degrees Celsius in the winter. However, the 6-kilometer underwater labyrinth is really impressive.

Food: Russian and Ukrainian cuisine, delicious meals prepared by the local cook.
Breakfasts in Russia, especially in the countryside, are particular. You can often get different kind of milk soups or even boiled buckwheat with butter.
